A good a good a bad use case for AI A good a good a bad use case for AI A good a good a bad use case for AI might be using AI for mental health for might be using AI for mental health for might be using AI for mental health for people at risk. Um the confusion is part of the business model confusion is part of the business model confusion is part of the business model for AI providers. It's how they get you for AI providers. It's how they get you for AI providers. It's how they get you engaged. It's how they get you to have engaged. It's how they get you to have engaged. So, taking inappropriate risks into it. So, taking inappropriate risks into it. So, taking inappropriate risks um not necessarily thinking through how um not necessarily thinking through how um not necessarily thinking through how how you're using AI, but just barreling how you're using AI, but just barreling how you're using AI, but just barreling forward. It is not response should be. It is not response should be. It is not intelligent. It just simulates intelligent. It just simulates intelligent. It just simulates intelligence. It is also not human. It it pretends to be human and it does so it pretends to be human and it does so it pretends to be human and it does so very convincingly at times. very convincingly at times. very convincingly at times. Um there's there's all kinds of is. Um there's there's all kinds of is. Um there's there's all kinds of things, right? Um how many animals are things, right? Um how many animals are things, right? Um how many animals are living in it, but there's things we're living in it, but there's things we're living in it, but there's things we're never going to know about this tree, never going to know about this tree, never going to know about this tree, such as how does it feel to a squirrel such as how does it feel to a squirrel such as how does it feel to a squirrel sitting on top of it? How does it look sitting on top of it? How does it look sitting on top of it? How does it look to an eagle looking down on it? What to an eagle looking down on it? What to an eagle looking down on it? What does it sound like if a Goodyear blimp does it sound like if a Goodyear blimp does it sound like if a Goodyear blimp crashes into the tree? But since data

Um there there's so with AI regulations. Um there there's so with AI regulations. Um there there's so many different provisions you guys there many different provisions you guys there many different provisions you guys there are a lot a lot of different um aspects are a lot a lot of different um aspects are a lot a lot of different um aspects that you have to think about with AI that you have to think about with AI that you have to think about with AI regulations. Um and it does depend on regulations. Um and it does depend on regulations. However, um because you're the one However, um because you're the one However, um because you're the one essentially exposing the AI system for essentially exposing the AI system for essentially exposing the AI system for harm and also because AI has a really harm and also because AI has a really harm and also because AI has a really good lobby, um you you bear the brunt of good lobby, um you you bear the brunt of good lobby, um you you bear the brunt of the regulatory burden on AI stuff. Um, so I end up going to college at Mary Harden and Baylor, got a college at Mary Harden and Baylor, got a college at Mary Harden and Baylor, got a BS in computer science because they did BS in computer science because they did BS in computer science because they did not have at the time they didn't have not have at the time they didn't have not have at the time they didn't have cyber security. It's like 2015. They cyber security. It's like 2015. They cyber security. It's like 2015. They only had um web development, network only had um web development, network only had um web development, network security, and computer security. So I security, and computer security. So I did computer security.

So and I was one of three that were picked up and that was three that were picked up and that was three that were picked up and that was back in 1998.

back in 1998. back in 1998. So um anyways I I joined the Air Force So um anyways I I joined the Air Force So um anyways I I joined the Air Force right out of high school. I left at 17 right out of high school. I left at 17 right out of high school. I left at 17 and um uh I went into and um uh I went into and um uh I went into um a computer career field. Um it's now um a computer career field. Um it's now um a computer career field. Um it's now known as a three delta but uh back then known as a three delta but uh back then known as a three delta but uh back then it's just kind of information it's just kind of information it's just kind of information management, information systems and um management, information systems and um management, information systems and um got very lucky. Um I was stationed in got very lucky. Um I was stationed in got very lucky. Um I was stationed in Europe um and was one of the um Europe um and was one of the um Europe um and was one of the um instructors for all of the people doing instructors for all of the people doing instructors for all of the people doing IT work. So I would teach people how to IT work. So I would teach people how to IT work. So I would teach people how to do IT work and then kind of grew from do IT work and then kind of grew from do IT work and then kind of grew from there because it was part of my career there because it was part of my career there because it was part of my career field was in for about 10 years. is very important um whenever I first is very important um whenever I first decided to start on cyber that's my decided to start on cyber that's my decided to start on cyber that's my nonprofit entity um it was because of a nonprofit entity um it was because of a nonprofit entity um it was because of a need I felt was out there I was in the need I felt was out there I was in the need I felt was out there I was in the tech industry when I came up there was tech industry when I came up there was tech industry when I came up there was really like no one else like kind of in really like no one else like kind of in really like no one else like kind of in my age group were people that kind of my age group were people that kind of my age group were people that kind of had a keen interest for like what I was had a keen interest for like what I was had a keen interest for like what I was doing and I also saw a very big doing and I also saw a very big doing and I also saw a very big demographic gap for us people of color demographic gap for us people of color demographic gap for us people of color were having a very hard time to get into were having a very hard time to get into were having a very hard time to get into the industry hard to get the resources the industry hard to get the resources the industry hard to get the resources and I'm from Belmont my Texas so you can and I'm from Belmont my Texas so you can and I'm from Belmont my Texas so you can only imagine what we're being pushed out only imagine what we're being pushed out only imagine what we're being pushed out there to do in life um and I'm just like there to do in life um and I'm just like there to do in life um and I'm just like a unique trait so I was like why not a unique trait so I was like why not a unique trait so I was like why not give back to my community and find ways give back to my community and find ways give back to my community and find ways to help other people so I decided to to help other people so I decided to to help other people so I decided to create ax cyers my nonprofit entity that create ax cyers my nonprofit entity that create ax cyers my nonprofit entity that does training and different materials does training and different materials does training and different materials with people all over that with people all over that with people all over that underrepresented um so I think it's very underrepresented um so I think it's very underrepresented um so I think it's very important to bridge that gap in our important to bridge that gap in our important to bridge that gap in our community and find ways to help each community and find ways to help each community and find ways to help each other out versus trying to be in other out versus trying to be in other out versus trying to be in competition. That's the the reason why I competition. That's the the reason why I competition. That's the the reason why I created it. And then I also was like, created it. And then I also was like, created it. I think it's really the message I time. I think it's really the message I time. You have to think without the security. You have to think about the users on your platform, right?
